Description

This map is a Bark Shop original! Our new map series brings vintage USGS topographic maps to life by combining them with modern 3D elevation and lighting techniques. Realistic contours and shadows make these works of art leap off the page. These maps make great gifts for lovers of art, science, and nature. If you like this, be sure to see the full map series.

The Triunfo Pass Quadrangle represents a beautiful cross section of Southern California. Some of the most beautiful parts of Ventura and Los Angeles counties can be found here. It stretches from the southern tip of Point Dume in Malibu to Santa Rosa and the Simi Hills at the north. Nestled in between is Conejo Valley. Vast areas of unspoiled nature and its proximity to Los Angeles has made this region a common backdrop for popular movies and TV shows.

Local hikers will certainly be familiar with many of the landmarks: Santa Monica Mountains, Boney Mountain, Conejo Mountain.

This map is also where the Bark Shop creators call home. However, you won’t find the City of Thousand Oaks listed because the underlying USGS map pre-dates the city’s official incorporation. On any given weekend, there is a good chance we are out exploring somewhere on this map.

Note: Hanging hardware is not included. We only provide the printed artwork.

Size and Finish

All versions of this map are printed at an incredible 300 DPI resolution. No matter which version you get, it will look great. However, there are some notable differences.

The 16″x20″ and 18″x18″ Museum Matte Paper versions are designed to make a statement in any room. Their composition includes additional spacing which visually focuses the map, making them ideal to be framed and hung on the wall. These are museum-quality, giclée prints made on thick, durable, archival, and acid-free matte paper.

The 24″x30″ Glossy Photo Paper version is meant for map enthusiasts. The glossy finish creates sharp detail on even the smallest elements. Reduced borders on this composition means the map fills the maximum available space. If you are looking for a version where you can study all the traditional topographic map details, this is probably the version you want. It will look great framed or hung on the wall like a traditional poster.
